A kiosk offering comprehensive information on sustainable development will be housed on the ground floor of the building. A representative will be on hand to provide information and discuss issues, services and programs related to sustainable development. This information service will place a strong emphasis on providing references to other organizations active in the field, as well as to members, tenants, etc. The following list presents a sample of the themes on which visitors to the kiosk will be able to find information:
- Municipal and private recycling, reuse and composting programs;
- Energy efficiency programs offered by the Agence de l’efficacité énergétique du Québec, Hydro-Québec and other agencies;
- Public and private support programs for renovations;
- Information on ecological gardening;
- Information and references on various municipal, provincial and federal regulations (e.g., cutting down trees);
- Information, lists and references on ethical and ecological consumption;
- Information on and links to ecological and community groups;
- Educational programs and services offered by tenants of the Centre for Sustainable Development;
- Information and mobilization campaigns (Earth Day, Défi Climat, Tour de l'Île, etc.);
- Referral service for people in low-income brackets;
- Etc.
